Richard Bright is the editor and managing director of Reefer Trends. He has a degree in Philosophy and an MBA from Henley, The Management College. He has 17 years experience in the fresh produce sector as a trader, analyst, planner, marketer and journalist. He founded Reefer Trends in 2003.
Prior to establishing Reefer Trends he was commercial manager for Market Intelligence Ltd, publishers of Eurofruit and Asiafruit magazines and organisers of the Eurofruit and Asiafruit Congresses. He was responsible for the management of the Congresses where he was also a speaker and moderator.
Prior to working for MI Ltd he was a Senior Product Manager at Capespan International for 8 years where he was responsible for the pan-European marketing of Cape and Outspan fruit. Before completing his MBA he worked on the Spanish desk in the Fyffes procurement department. He started his career in fresh produce in 1986 as a trader at Sydney Hart Ltd, now known as Hart Worldwide.
